You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl... or in my case you can bring the California girl back from the midwest and she'll still be a California girl (the same one she was when she was ripped from the tender embrace of childhood friendships and Campfire Girls), BUT she'll have some embarrassing traits such as knowing the steps to the electric slide and a slight taste for GOOD country music. Emphasis on GOOD. Neko Case isn't exactly "country"... it's not really accurate. She's more of an indy folk singer, but (since we all love labels) let's just say she's really good country. This is one of my favorite songs off of her new album "Middle Cyclone" (which might have the coolest album cover ever), "People Got a Lotta Nerve".
